2014 NFL Draft First Round Grades: St. Louis Rams

2nd Overall Pick: Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn

I shied away from mocking Robinson to the Rams at 2 because I didn't believe Fisher would change his offensive line philosophy and spend an early pick on one. However, this was the smartest pick they could have made. Offensive tackle has been a problem in St. Louis for as long I can remember, just ask Bradford. Now that he's going to finally have some solid protection and non-rookie weapons, we can finally see what Sam can do with a team around him. It will be a make or break year for him.

GRADE: A

13th Overall Pick: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh

I was expecting nothing other than a defensive back for this selection, but they couldn't help snatching up the falling Aaron Donald. With this selection, the Rams now have one of the scariest defensive lines in the NFL. It wasn't the biggest need in the world, but defensive tackle was going to be a need as soon as next year (Kendall Langford won't be around much longer). Once you get past being surprised the Rams didn't grab a defensive back, this is actually a very solid selection, tho the secondary will certainly suffer because of it.

GRADE: A-
