Other team got much more publicity, but the Titans also had an amazing free agency period. They finally found a solid #2 option to CJ2K in Greene, got one of the best linemen in the game from Buffalo, and picked up to solid short-term safeties in Wilson and Pollard. They will need to be replaced within a few years, but they should have a few good years left in them. They followed it up with a very solid draft. The offensive line is now one of the best in the game and Chris Johnson has no more excuses if he under-preforms yet again. Unfortunately, the last missing piece in Tennessee's puzzle is the quarterback position. Jake Locker was overdrafted as a rookie, and has not lived up to his billing. This season is Locker's last chance to prove he is a franchise quarterback. If he makes some miraculous step forward, then the Titans could potentially compete for a playoff spot. However, I just don't see that happening. If Tennessee is drafting in the first half of next years' draft, I'd be surprised to see them stick with Locker for another year. It's a make or break year for him.
