The Saints are still in the running for worst defense in the league once again, but they still have a great chance at the playoffs this year. The main reason for that, is the return of Sean Payton as head coach. His absence hurt the entire team last year, and especially the offense. Brees, Graham and the other receivers all suffered down years because of the loss of their leader. With Payton back, Drew Brees and co. are set for a stellar season. Most of their games are going to be shootouts, but there are few quarterbacks I'd rather have in a shootout than Drew Brees. However, I don't think they'd last too long in the playoffs because of their defense. Fortunately, the Saints just need one solid off season to rebuild the defense and become a perennial Super Bowl contender once again.
