There are some people who think the Chargers are still a playoff contender, but they are no were close to reaching the post season. The offense could be one of the worst in the NFL. Rivers is regressing by the second, Matthews can't stay healthy, the receiving corps is mediocre at best, and the offensive line is one of the worst in the league. On the defensive side of the ball, the front seven could end up being fairly solid, but the secondary will be torched by any decent quarterback they face. The Chargers could still put up a respectable 5 or 6 wins next season, but that is only because the division is so weak aside from Denver. San Diego could easily be picking in the top 5 this draft, which means Phillip Rivers could be seeing his final snaps as a Charger.
