First Round: Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB, LSU
Third Round: Leon McFadden, CB, San Diego State
Lots of people thought the Browns were targeting Milliner with the 6th overall selection, so it's no surprise they took a corner with their next pick after passing on Milliner in round one. This was a big need for them, and this is about where I thought McFadden would go. There were a few better corners available in my opinion, but not much of a difference.
Sixth Round: Jamoris Slaughter, S, Notre Dame
Some safety depth. I didn't think Slaughter would be drafted, but he certainly would have been signed as an UFA very quickly. Not too bad of a reach for round six.
Seventh Round: Armonty Bryant, DE/OLB, East Central Oklahoma / Garrett Gilkey, OT, Chadron State
Typical seventh round depth picks. Nothing great and no big reaches either.
This was a very disappointing draft for Cleveland. They took an almost certain bust with the sixth overall selection, had a decent third round pick, and then traded away everything else. The one good thing about this draft was its depth, and Cleveland failed to take advantage of that. They instead opted for depth picks in next years' draft, which is not as deep at the moment despite the elite talent early on. This was one of the worst team drafts this year.
