NFL Week 7 Picks

LAST WEEK: 6-8

SEASON: 55-36 (60%)

49ersDef.Seahawks

The Seahawks are coming off a huge win against the Pats and the 49ers are coming off a really rough loss to the Giants, but San Francisco's defense is just too good to lose to Russell Wilson no matter how good the Seattle defense plays.

Both of these teams were big underdogs in their wins last week, but Tennessee's win could easily be attributed to all of Pittsburgh's injuries. The Bills have a lot more riding on this game and with home field advantage on their side, I think they come away with the win.

ColtsDef.Browns

The Browns finally won their first game of the season, but I wouldn't predict any road wins for them just yet. I trust Andrew Luck at home, but the Colts defense needs to have a big bounce back game against another mediocre offense.

The Giants are rolling right now. All their players are healthy and everything is working as planed. I really don't see anyone beating them they way they're playing right now.

SaintsDef.buccaneers_100.png (100×100)

Tampa Bay is coming off a big win, but they beat Brady Quinn. Facing Drew Brees is a completely different story. With two weeks to prepare, the Saints should roll in this one.

CowboysDef.Panthers

Dallas' defense is really struggling, but the offense is starting to pick up the pace. Carolina's defense is about as bad as it gets, so I expect the Cowboys to win a shootout.

The Texas got beat up by the Packers last game, but the Ravens offense is nothing like Green Bay. In addition, the Ravens lost two of their best defensive players in Lewis and Webb. Arian Foster is going to run all over these guys.

The Rams defense has been pretty solid this season, but the Packers just threw up 42 points against an elite Texans unit. Expect more of the same this week.

VikingsDef.

Both of these surprise 4 win teams are finally cooling off. However, I give the Vikings a slight edge in this one because you just have no idea what you'll get out of Skelton (which was pretty awful play in a short period of time last week), no legitimate starting running back, and an anemic offensive line.

patriots_100.png (100×100)Def.

The Jets hold first place in the division by virtue of tiebreaker, but that will change after this week. The Patriots are pissed off, and the Tebow chants should start up again after this game.

RaidersDef.Jaguars

The Raiders showed some life last week against the Falcons and almost pulled off a major upset. If they can maintain a fraction of that kind of play, that will be enough to beat the Jaguars.

SteelersDef.bengals_100.png (100×100)

I never thought the Bengals were good enough to beat a playoff-caliper team, but now they can't even beat the Browns. If Pittsburgh can get any of its players healthy for this one, they'll come through with a win.

bears_100.png (100×100)Def.Lions

The Lions might finally be on their way back to some consistent play, but I wouldn't expect it this week against the Bears. They've had two weeks to prepare and are a much better team. Should be a big win for Chicago.
